The IBEW 1049 Celebration of Labor Breakfast was held on September 16th at the IBEW Local 1049 Union Hall, marking a significant moment in honoring our dedication to labor and community.
We are honored to have had the distinguished Attorney General of New York Letitia "Tish" James. New York's 67th Attorney General and the first woman of color elected statewide. Before serving as Attorney General, Letitia James was the public advocate for the City of New York.
We are equally grateful for the contributions of our esteemed speakers who have championed labor causes across New York: State Senator Mario Mattera, District 2, proud member and Business Representative for Plumbers UA Local 200, and Senator Monica Martinez, District 4, Monica previously served as a member of the Suffolk County Legislature and served as Assistant Principal in the Brentwood School District and was a proud member of NYSUT.
