Staying Together in Brotherhood

The Retirees Club meets every other month in even months on the third Wednesday at 10:30 am at the local union hall. We attempt to make the meetings informational and entertaining. We attempt to engage guest speakers to update you on retiree issues, and the Union officers keep us abreast of Union benefits and affairs. Lunch is served in the June and December meetings.

Membership dues are extremely affordable, a one time fee of $12. The dues are needed to meet expenses of the club only. Dues may be paid by cash or check to IBEW Local 1049 Retirees Club, 745 Old Willets Path in Hauppauge NY 11788.

There are more than 100 retired members of IBEW Local 1049. Retirees regularly attend the meetings, and we  participate in the unions activities. It is also a good social network. The events we  participate in are for Local 1049 members and their spouses primarily, because they are co-sponsored by the local union. We encourage that the Retirees members bring their spouses, and this club is open to retired members of Local 1049, Local 1381 and management as well.

We are constantly seeking your ideas and input on ways to improve our retirees club.
